St. Anton is a ski resort with many faces; it is a glamorous town full of champagne fueled events and excellent cuisine, an off piste paradise, and a party town that can compete with the likes of Ibiza and Apia Napa. St. Anton truly has something for everyone, from families to party goers; everyone will enjoy the electric atmosphere of this beautiful alpine town.
With so much going on in this lively place, it is easy to forget that the main reason thousands of people travel here every winter is for the skiing. St. Anton has a brilliant lift system which takes skiers up into the Arlberg area which has almost 175 miles of piste, and reaches a snow-sure altitude of 2,800m. The skiing has a varied terrain and is more than enough for adventurous skiers. It also has much to offer confident intermediates, with red runs throughout the area. Beginners will be impressed with the ‘happy valley’ as well as many other areas filled with gentle blues and greens while still being high enough to take in the incredible views.
St. Anton’s lively party scene has to be mentioned whether it is to your taste or not. St. Anton is world-renowned for its apres scene and it certainly claims to party harder than any other ski resort in Europe. However, if your idea of apres involves a lengthy cocktail menu and a sophisticated atmosphere you can still find this in the centre of town, buried in some of the resorts more prestigious hotels.
St. Anton is the picture perfect ski resort many of us dream about. The pedestrianised centre is filled with wonderful shops and spas and there is plenty to do even for none skiers. Embrace St. Anton’s liveliness and youthful feel and you will have an incredible ski holiday that you are not likely to forget.
